Chinese car company BYD has launched the Seal electric sedan in India. It will be available in three variants - Dynamic, Premium and Performance - priced at Rs 41 lakh, Rs 45.55 lakh and Rs 53 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. Let's give its design and some information through pictures.
Its Dynamic variant will have a 61.4kWh battery and rear axle mounted single electric motor. At the same time, the Premium variant will have an 82.5kWh battery and rear axle mounted single electric motor (RWD), while the Performance variant will have an 82.5kWh battery and dual electric motors.
Its Dynamic and Premium variants have a RWD setup while the Performance variant has an All Wheel Drive (AWD) setup. Among these, the Performance variant is the fastest, which can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in just 3.8 seconds with 560PS of power and 670Nm of torque. It can offer a range of 580km (claimed).
The motor of the Dynamic variant can produce 204bhp and 310Nm output. It has a range of 510 km (NEDC cycle). At the same time, the premium variant motor outputs 312bhp and 360Nm of torque, it can give a range of 650 km.
The car features a 15.6-inch infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, HUD, ADAS, 8-way electronically adjustable driver's seat with memory function, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 60:40 split-folding rear seats, leatherette upholstery, dual Features like zone AC, panoramic glass roof and auto-dimming IRVM.

The BYD Seal electric car can be fully charged in 8.6 hours with an 11kW regular AC charger. It also gets 150kW DC fast charger support, which can charge from 10 to 80% in just 37 minutes. It also has V2L (Vehicle to Load). That is, this car battery can also run other electric devices.
