Today, due to awareness, many people are installing solar panels on the roof of their houses. Due to which, people have now got a lot of relief in their electricity bills. Then the Gujarat government is coming up with another project. Now a windmill can be installed on the roof of the house. This pilot project will be implemented in 4 cities for the first time in Gujarat. This step will prove to be a milestone in Gujarat working towards renewable energy.
At present, more than 5 lakh houses in Gujarat have been fitted with solar panels. Due to which people's electricity bills have changed. Due to this, Gujarat has become the leader in the production of solar energy in the entire country. Now the Gujarat government is living to launch a new project. In which windmills will be installed on houses like solar panels. By which people will be able to produce electricity. They will be able to use this electricity in their home.
Till now windmills were installed in open fields or fields. But now a windmill will be installed on the roof of the house. This pilot project will be started by the state government. The tender process for which has also been started by DGVCL.
Windmills will be installed in four cities of Gujarat
Choice of Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot and Porbandar
This project will last for 2 years
1-1 house will be studied for 2 years after installation of wind mill
After good results, it will be started in other cities also
In this way 4 cities were selected
This pilot project has been started by Gujarat Power Research Development Cell. Currently only 4 cities of Gujarat have been selected in this project. It includes Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot and Porbandar. These cities have been selected for a special purpose. The cities have been selected based on the wind blowing in the cities. The project will be studied for two years. It will be implemented only after its conclusion.
Reason for bringing up the project
Gujarat is currently focusing in the direction of renewable energy. Now slowly people are getting awareness. But some houses cannot fit solar panels as there is not enough space on the roof. In such a situation, electricity can be saved by using green energy by installing windmills.
