The ongoing T10 league in Romania saw something that shocked cricket fans
around the world. Imagine if a team needed 61 runs in 12 balls, what would you
say? Naturally you would think that this team's defeat is now certain. But on
the contrary, the Austrian team won the match. Austria won this surprising
match against Romania. Batting first, Romania scored 167 runs in 10 overs but
the Austrian team thrillingly achieved such a big target with one ball to
spare.
Amazing matches are often seen in European cricket, once again it was the
case. In the ongoing T10 tournament in Romania, Austria defeated Romania by 7
wickets, needing 61 runs off the last 12 balls, but managed to win.
How did this miracle happen?
Austria achieved this miracle thanks to middle-order batsman Aqib Iqbal, who
scored 72 runs off just 19 balls at a strike rate of over 378. Iqbal hit 10
sixes and 2 fours in a 19-ball innings. Austria needed 61 off the last 12

his hit. Asif's hit saw Austria win the match with just one ball to spare. Two
Romanian bowlers were badly beaten. Manmeet Kohli gave 57 runs in 2 overs
while Chamalka Fernando gave 25 runs in 5 balls.
Arian Mohammad scored a century
Earlier, Romanian batsman Arian Mohammad scored a brilliant century. The
right-handed batsman scored an unbeaten 104 off 39 balls. 8 sixes and 11 fours
came from his bat. However, even his century could not prevent Romania's
