A wonderful amalgamation of technology and devotion was witnessed in Sector 7
of Mahakumbh. The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department, which organised the show,
used hundreds of drones to create amazing aerial views, showing deities
drinking Amrit Kalash. The divine tableau of Samudra manthan also amazed
people.
The sky was turned into a canvas, with the logo of Mahakumbh and the insignia
of the Uttar Pradesh government beautifully etched by drones. Images of a
sadhu blowing a conch and a sanyasi immersing himself in the holy waters of
Sangam added depth and spiritual significance to the display.
Uttar Pradesh Day was also celebrated in the drone show and the cultural
tableau of Uttar Pradesh added to its beauty.
The highlight of the show was the majestic Indian tricolour fluttering on the
Vidhan Sabha Bhawan, which instilled a sense of patriotism and national pride
in the audience. This innovative drone show effectively showcased the
spiritual and cultural significance of the Kumbh Mela, leaving an indelible
impression on all who witnessed this unique and awe-inspiring spectacle.
The Uttar Pradesh government on Friday said it expects 10 crore devotees to
visit the Maha Kumbh on January 29 for the Amrit Snan of Mauni Amavasya, for
which elaborate measures are being implemented to efficiently manage traffic
and crowds.
The bathing ritual is the most important one at Kumbh. Though taking a dip in
holy water on all days starting from Makar Sankranti is considered auspicious,
there are certain special bathing dates, known as 'Amrit Snan' (earlier called
Shahi Snan).
Mauni Amavasya on January 29 will be the third such auspicious date in the
ongoing fair. The first two days were observed on January 13 (Paush Purnima)
and January 14 (Makar Sankranti), while three more days will be observed next
month on February 3 (Basant Panchami), February 12 (Maghi Purnima) and
February 26 (Maha Shivaratri).
The Maha Kumbh, being held after 12 years, considered the world's largest
spiritual gathering at the Triveni Sangam and a major Hindu pilgrimage, began
on January 13 and will continue till February 26.
